When the sun starts to shine, our thoughts turn to outdoor entertaining (even if it is still rather chilly of an evening). Hanging candles and tealights twinkling away give a magical quality to any garden party or BBQ, so here's a few you can pick up in High St stores...
First up is this very pretty Moroccan style hanging lantern from Monsoon. It has crackle glass and hand made brass detailing. It's £15, available only in green and takes a standard tealight candle.
Next is a very romantic clear hanging tealight holder from Graham & Green. It has a pretty faceted, beaded drop and an elegant vintage-style shape and it's £8.95.
Ikea brings back its 'Sommar' range of candles and candle holders again this summer. New for 2007 are these staked varieties of hanging tealight holders with an 85cm long stake. A bargain at £3.99 for a pack of three.
The Pier has reduced their set of three coloured outdoor lanterns, so they're now just £5 for the set of pink, blue and amber.
This beautifully simple 'Balina' glass candle holder is from Habitat. It's £8 and comes in pink (shown), turquoise, clear and dark blue. The product page I've linked to doesn't display very well, so visit that main Habitat site and navigate through for a better look.
Nice round-up - that Moroccan lantern is extra fabulous, a really great find and not a bad price either!
